Every public body runs on the same quiet problem: the people who govern are volunteers and part-timers handed hundreds of pages of dense material days before they have to vote on it. The packet gets organized, distributed, and filed, but rarely read the way it deserves to be read.

We've all sat in the meetings where better preparation would have changed the conversation. Where the right question came an hour too late, or never came at all. Governly started from a simple conviction: the people making decisions for a community deserve the best preparation tools available. It's the same caliber of analysis a large organization takes for granted, now in the hands of a school board or a city commission.

So we built it. Not a generic AI wrapper, not a document manager with a chatbot stapled on: a platform that reads the full agenda the way you would with unlimited time, and prepares everyone who touches the meeting to do their best work. We mapped 28 core processes in local government meeting governance; AI meaningfully improves 24 of them, and Governly covers them all.
